Info - Trail Rules
Safety is our top priority, and therefore we would like to communicate some important rules for the transportation of children on our routes.
Transporting children on a bicycle
The transport of children on child seats in front of/behind the driver is not permitted in our trail park or on the panorama trails. This regulation is not based on the driving skills of the drivers or their willingness to take responsibility. Rather, it is a necessary measure with regard to liability and insurance issues of a sports facility (such as we are).
This is particularly about structures on which children are taken along between the rider and the handlebars. According to the Austrian Road Traffic Regulations (StVO), these child seats are not Permissible. Additionally, the Board for Traffic (KFV) has classified these seats as dangerous. This classification is based, among other things, on fall scenarios.
Since we as a sports venue are unable to ensure the safe use of these seats and would thus be liable in the event of an accident, we unfortunately feel compelled to strictly enforce this regulation.
Bicycle trailer for children
Bicycle trailers that are approved in accordance with the Austrian Road Traffic Act (StVO) may be used on forestry roads. However, we expressly point out that the use of bicycle trailers on mountain bike trails is not permitted.
We ask for your understanding of these rules, which aim to maximize safety for all visitors to our trail park. Thank you for adhering to these guidelines!
Our rental offers children's bikes starting from balance bike size, so a trip with kids in the trail park is definitely possible for all age groups with us, even if no own children's bicycle was brought along. If you arrive with the sole plan of being able to use this child seat, the ticket may be returned even after being asked to leave.
