1. Trail park
Rules of conduct
For your own safety, we ask you to observe the following rules of conduct. These are important not only for us but also for the environment. Because only if we all respect the forest and meadows together can we provide well-laid, constructed, and maintained trails in the long term.
Protect your head
Protect your head with a helmet and check your equipment before starting each bike tour!
Drive at your own risk
Attention – Use and operation of the facilities in the Trails Park at your own risk!
No supervision
The operators assume no supervisory duty and no liability!
Promotion of children
The transport of children in child seats (in front of or behind the driver) is expressly NOT allowed.
Drive defensively
Always pay attention to your speed and drive with half visibility.
Self-confidence
When using the bike tracks, everyone must be aware of their abilities and skills.
Pay attention to the infrastructure
Abbreviations and blocked rear wheels damage the trail – do not ride off marked routes.
Be considerate
Be considerate of other drivers, hikers, and wildlife, and don't leave any trash!
Emergency call
Emergency numbers: 140 or 112

The routes may only be ridden with roadworthy, maintained mountain bikes - use with other sports equipment (such as city bikes, carts, motorcycles, or electric motorcycles) is not permitted.
2. Panorama Trails
Rules of conduct
Driving with foresight
Always drive at a controlled speed and with half visibility, especially in curves, as obstacles (e.g. stones, branches, temporarily stored wood, grazing livestock, cattle grids, tractors/forestry machines, authorized vehicles) can be expected at any time!
Show consideration
Be considerate of other mountain bikers, hikers, and pedestrians and only overtake at walking speed!
Can assess
Consider the difficulty level of the route and accurately assess your experience and skills as a biker!
Protect your head
Protect your head with a helmet and check the equipment before starting each bike tour (brakes, bell, light)!
Adhere to the barriers & opening hours
Stick to barriers and accept that this path primarily serves agricultural and forestry use! Close the pasture gates! Please adhere to the opening hours! The panorama trails are accessible from May 15 to November 1 between 9:00 a.m. and 6:00 p.m. (in autumn as long as it is light). Please respect the rest periods of the wildlife and forest.
Consideration for nature and wildlife
Be considerate of nature and wildlife, do not leave the marked route, refrain from riding off the open paths, and finish your bike tour before dusk. Do not leave any waste!
Equipment
Choose your equipment based on your riding skills and the trail you want to ride. Here is a little guidance: BIKE MAGAZINE
The routes may only be used with roadworthy, maintained mountain bikes - use with other sports equipment (such as city bikes, go-karts, motorcycles, or electric motorcycles) is not permitted.

IMPORTANT INFO
WHY PAY FOR THE TRAILS?
Our product is the trails! Time, energy, know-how, and quite a bit of money are invested here.
The "Wexl Trails" cannot be financed through a mountain railway. Additionally, we believe that mountain biking is not about the ride up in the lift, but about cool trails and paths.
And here we are at the point: the highest priority is the quality of the trails and the extension of the trails. This priority costs money - everyone is aware of that. However, to even be able to think about the priority, many more things need to happen beforehand: talks with neighbors, landowners, and foresters need to be conducted to clarify the project and outline the possibilities. Please always keep "togetherness" in mind when you are out in nature. For landowners and foresters in the changing area, it was important to find a solution because they should be able to carry out their work in peace and without risk. That’s why willingness to compromise was high and the outcome is cool trails.
Let us continue with the planning, which requires a lot of know-how and good people – we have them and they cost money.
Once the basic building blocks are laid, the construction of the trail begins, and it is extremely costly. A trail is handmade! No trail construction is possible without getting your hands on a shovel, without rakes, and also without machines like excavators and similar. It costs money and nerves.
But it's fun – we all enjoy it. Whether building trails or riding them – our passion is mountain biking. To ensure you can expect perfect conditions for fun, a trail entry is required.
The trail ticket helps cover the costs of planning, development, and construction. On top of that, it finances the lease for the landowners and the insurance. So, it’s for all of us.
Therefore, our big request: get your trail tickets at the sales points! The network of sales points has been expanded just for you to make access to the tickets easier. Additionally, "frequent riders" are rewarded with a great price on the season pass.
We would like to point out that being on or around the Wexl Trails without a valid trail ticket and thus disregarding this regulation can lead to a possession disturbance report by the landowners.
So please stick to the marked and designated tracks and check your trail ticket. Ride on and keep on smiling!
Ride smart. Progress. Stay safe.
Trail Progression
For the first time with us or at a trail center at all?
Then ease into green (child-friendly) trails before taking on more difficult routes. If you already feel like a real pro on all blue (easy) trails, then you're ready to check out the first red trails.
Simply follow our trail progression and work your way up from easy trails to the difficult ones.
If you are still generally a bit unsure, have a coach explain the basics to you or work on your driving technique together.

The emergency call app
App 144
The EMERGENCY CALL APP for outdoor athletes in Lower Austria.
Safety is also a top priority for us at Wexl Trails, and that's why we want to recommend this APP to you. In an emergency, things need to happen quickly, and we are not always immediately available.
Pressing the "144-Button" in the app automatically transmits the position, name, and personally stored information to the emergency control center. A prioritized voice call is triggered in the control center. This ensures that all necessary data is available, allowing the emergency inquiry to be shortened and the alerting to be accelerated.
Transmission of the following data:
- Position based on the location of the smartphone
- Altitude (iPhone), Battery level, Phone number
- Caller name, residential address
- Health data, temporary information
Additional functions:
- Display of all defibrillator locations in Austria
- Doctors, pharmacies, hospitals in NÖ
- Information about rescue and medical transport
- German and English available
Extensions:
- I can't speak – Pictograms
- Alpine emergency call 140 – Mountain rescue function secured in the Czech Republic, Hungary, and Slovakia
