Together with BORG Wiener Neustadt, BG Zehnergasse Wiener Neustadt, the Education Directorate for Lower Austria, and the Sportunion Hinterbrühl, Wexl Trails is hosting the Lower Austrian Mountain Bike Enduro Race for students from Lower Austrian schools for the fourth time.

Perfectly shaped, secured mountain bike trails welcome school sports and offer race participants the best conditions for an action-packed race.

Enduro? - In this discipline, bikers must climb uphill to the start of the timed downhill stage using their own power. So it's not just the fastest "downhillers" or the fittest "uphill racers" needed, but well-prepared all-around mountain bikers who know how to best allocate their strength.

Route information: Riding takes place on the flow trail and in the area of the mini bike park.

Public arrival possible: by train to Aspang Markt (see connections: https://anachb.vor.at/). Pickup from Aspang Markt station on request until 08.05. at info@wexltrails.at for €5 per person and per trip possible.

  • Movie Room (1st floor in the Wexl Base building) - mountain biking films are shown. Remove shoes here and only enter the room with clean/dry clothing.

Terms and Conditions

  • Participation is possible for students from Lower Austrian schools. The registration must be done through the school (teacher/director). Students must be supervised by accompanying persons before and after the race. Participants on the racetrack are accompanied by guides.
  • School classes from other federal states can contact us after consultation (please email to ellis@wexlarena.at) register out of competition. However, the places for this are limited.
  • Registration for the race is binding upon completion of the online registration. In case of withdrawal from the event, there will be no refund of the entry fee.
  • There is a mandatory helmet and full-finger glove requirement throughout the event. Knee protectors and elbow protectors can be worn voluntarily.
  • Accompanying teachers may only accompany their students in the uphill passage but are not allowed to go down the race track. An alternative via the Rooty Balboa (single trail) is available. Reason: additional riders on the track delay the race & disrupt the timing.

Material list

What every race participant must bring:

  • Roadworthy mountain bike (with serviced brakes!)
  • Cycling shoes (or sports shoes with a flat profile)
  • Bike or sportswear
  • Mountain bike helmet (half-shell or full-face)
  • Gloves
  • Voluntary: Knee protectors and elbow protectors & safety goggles (sports glasses / goggles)
  • Drinking bottle/drink
  • Little snack or pocket money
  • Sunscreen
  • Rainwear in bad weather

Registration

Registration: the Registration is closed. No additional entries possible online or on-site.

Deadline:Friday, May 16, 2025 (24:00) or earlier if the maximum number of participants is reached. So register as early as possible.

Participation fee: € 12 (plus € 3 deposit for keycard use - will be refunded upon return of the card)

Note: An additional ticket for trail entry or transportation is not necessary for the race.

We will operate our bike lift on this day - if classes want to use the lift before or after the race, a lift ticket is available at the cash desk. Student price for the bike lift: ½ day 15.00 EUR, 1 day 20.00 EUR

Minimum number of participants: 60

Maximum number of participants: 200

Route closures for day visitors on race day:

The following trail sections are closed on May 22 from 9 AM to approximately 3 PM:

  • Flow trail between bike lift exit mini bike park
  • End piece "Meryl Steep - Downhill Line" (Line to the left of the Mini Bikepark)

A detour will be signposted or marshals & helpers will provide information.

Stage Map 2025 - Attention UPDATE!

Update 21.5.2025:
Route changes due to rainy weather: The route length and direction remain the same, but the original Stage 2 and 3 are combined into one "Stage 2" - and the starting intervals are reduced. Therefore, the race will finish earlier.

Final information will be provided at the Riders Meeting at 09:30 a.m.
